Blondes In Red Lipstick

Mary-Kate Olsen and Claudia Schiffer wore bright red lipstick to the Metropolitan Opera's 125th anniversary gala. I actually like Mary-Kate's look, though maybe she could use a little lip liner. I hope Claudia's eye situation is a case of camera fluke and not a Botox overload.

Mary-Kate's healthy and sane look hasn't lasted. I don't want to know what this girl is on, but it looks like a seriously bad trip. Dlisted has more pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Mary-Kate cleans up nicely

Dare I say it? Mary-Kate Olsen looked radiant and pretty on Wednesday night. a couple of months ago all the gossip blogs gleefully quoted makeup pros who worked on her saying her diet of toxins was making her look way older than 21. It may or may not be true, but the makeup artist who did her face for this event (The season premier for Weeds), deserves some serious praise. There's no hint of her usual ghoulish look, and she's one of the very few who really look better in a nude lipstick. Her usual staple red wasn't doing her any favors.


I'm not sold on the outfit. There's too much sternum and no waist, but compared to some of her past ensembles, this is an improvement.
