New Year's Beauty Reolutions

I'm not much of a resolution person. I usually just make decisions and go for them, but a new year is actually as good time as any to reflect a little and see what I'm doing right and which areas could use some improvement. So here are five resolution-like thoughts:

1. I will try harder to accept the imperfections. My eyebrows aren't symmetric, would never be exactly the same and any effort to even them out makes things weird. I look better with my slightly uneven brows.

2. I will scrub my face much less and exfoliate my legs more. While my face doesn't need much stimulation, the cuir de crocodile on my legs definitely does.

3. I will continue going out of my comfort zone. Blogging has ensured I'd never get into a beauty rut because I'm always trying something new- color, scent, texture. It's the most important beauty lesson I've learned.

4. Out with the old. I've gotten a lot better on not stocking up on discontinued items (except for perfume. this is a different ball game and hoarding gems of the past is highly encouraged), but I still bought two tubes of Remede Double Oxygenating Booster after it was axed. My goal for this year is to go down to zero hoarded items.

5. This resolution was inspired by something I've read on I Smell Therefore I Am, and immediately identified. I will use my perfumes lavishly, including the precious vintage ones. I have enough juice to marinate a village and I plan to keep buying what I love, so I should enjoy it fully.

Have you made any beauty and perfume resolutions?
